Successes and challenges of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in the global context
This Forum will explore critical issues related to the development and implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination program across the globe. After brief presentations, the conversation will focus on how to ensure equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine. The expert panel will include Dr. Salim Abdool Karim, FRS, Director of the Centre for the AIDS Program of Research in South Africa and Dr. Ramanan Laxminarayan, founder and director of the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy, presenting on India. The session will be moderated by Dr. Simone Wildes, a Tufts Medical Center affiliated Infectious Disease Physician based out of South Shore Hospital and a member of the Massachusetts COVID-19 Vaccine Advisory Group.
