Biosafety and Biosecurity Awareness Training for Poliovirus (PPIM)

Online

This is an online training. The training is an adjunct to laboratory-specific hands-on training for those laboratorians working with poliovirus potentially infectious materials (PPIM). This is an awareness training touching on the epidemiology and symptomatology of poliovirus infection, the Global Action Plan (GAPIII) to eradicate poliovirus wild-type and vaccination strains, and the biosafety and biosecurity risk mitigation strategies and compliance requirements that must be in place to work with PPIM.

Review of the course material, including acknowledgement of the attestation questions at the end, is required to receive credit for this PPIM Awareness training.

This training can be scheduled by contacting the Biosafety Office.
