The Tufts SBER IRB has launched a new Protocol Template for Tufts investigators to use when preparing new study submissions!  

The new SBER IRB Protocol Template, designed with faculty input, will facilitate a more seamless submission and review process by efficiently capturing the information the SBER IRB needs to evaluate study procedures and advise investigators on key regulatory and Tufts policy considerations. Gathering this key information in the initial protocol will allow for fewer and shorter clarification requests, reduce turnaround times, and enable investigators to begin their research procedures more quickly.

As of November 1, 2024, Tufts investigators must use the new Protocol Template when submitting new studies to the Tufts SBER IRB.

You may access the new SBER IRB Protocol Template by clicking on the link below. You may also access the template at any time on the SBER IRB website by clicking on the “SBER Forms and Templates” option under the “Forms” tab.

Please note: this template should only be used by investigators submitting new protocol submissions to the Tufts SBER IRB and should not be used for submissions reviewed by the Tufts Health Sciences IRB.
