Suresh is a senior licensing associate for TTIC. He is responsible for the management and commercialization of intellectual property corresponding to a portfolio of industrial and energy technologies. Prior to the current role, Suresh was an associate director for business development and supported the commercialization of silk and other materials technologies. Suresh joined Tufts from Saint-Gobain where he worked in Corporate Marketing as part of a team that assessed new business opportunities for the Global 150 corporation. He has twenty years of experience in industrial R&D, having led cross-functional teams at SONY (semiconductor – metals/thin-films) and Saint-Gobain (appliance/personal care – ceramics/polymers/colloids), and within an internal start-up at American Superconductor (clean energy – nanofilms/epitaxy). Suresh holds an undergraduate degree in metallurgy from IIT-Mumbai in India, a PhD in materials engineering (heat transfer/fluid flow) from Drexel University in Philadelphia and an MS in biomedical engineering from Tufts University.
