Seed Layer Assisted Chemical Bath Deposition of CuO on ITO/glass Substrates with Tunable Crystalinity

Semiconductor oxides are a promising alternative to silicon-based solar cells because they possess high optical absorption and are composed of low cost materials.  Cupric oxide (CuO) films have now been generated on transparent surfaces using a straight-forward chemical bath deposition process.  This technique allows one to grow high quality, adhesive, morphology- and crystallinity-controllable CuO thin films.
