VPR Search Open Forums

As a follow-up to President Monaco’s email last week, we are launching a national search for the next Vice Provost for Research on October 4th. We have engaged Isaacson, Miller, a leading recruitment firm in higher education, to facilitate the search and recruit a deep and diverse pool of candidates.

The Isaacson, Miller team, led by Kate Barry, partner, with senior associates Bryce Gilfillian and Melissa DePretto Behan, will work closely with the search committee. The search committee will be chaired by Krishna Kumar, Robinson Professor of Chemistry at the School of Arts & Sciences, and Lisa Freeman, Professor of Clinical Nutrition at the Cummings School, and includes representation from all schools and centers at Tufts.

As the search process gets underway, the Isaacson, Miller team will consult widely with Tufts University faculty, staff, and other key stakeholders to learn your views about the future of the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and the type of leader that can best carry forward its trajectory. This process of broad consultation will begin with virtual listening sessions in October. A position profile will be developed based on these listening sessions and will be publicly available soon after. Please register for one of the below open forums.

If you are unable to attend, please feel free to share your thoughts with and Isaacson, Miller via this survey.

We look forward to engaging the campus community in these conversations.
