Thursday, June 27, 2024: CAHRI Guest Speaker Charisse Madlock-Brown, PhD: “Health Disparities Research and Electronic Health Records: Considerations and Methods”

The Center for Advanced Healthcare Research Informatics (CAHRI) welcomes our next invited guest speaker, Charisse Madlock-Brown, PhD.

Dr. Madlock-Brown is a faculty member in Health Informatics at the University of Iowa College of Nursing, previously an associate professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She holds a Master’s in Library and Information Science and a Ph.D. in Health Informatics from the University of Iowa. Her research focuses on social determinants of health, COVID-19, health disparities, obesity trends, and multimorbidity. She uses machine learning and biostatistics to analyze large EHR data warehouses.
