The Center for Advanced Healthcare Research Informatics (CAHRI) welcomes our next invited guest speaker, Charisse Madlock-Brown, PhD.

Dr. Madlock-Brown is a faculty member in Health Informatics at the University of Iowa College of Nursing, previously an associate professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She holds a Master’s in Library and Information Science and a Ph.D. in Health Informatics from the University of Iowa. Her research focuses on social determinants of health, COVID-19, health disparities, obesity trends, and multimorbidity. She uses machine learning and biostatistics to analyze large EHR data warehouses.

Dr. Madlock-Brown will be giving a talk titled “Health Disparities Research and Electronic Health Records: Considerations and Methods.” All are welcome to join us on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 11am-12pm EST via Zoom. Please reach out to Marty Alvarez with any questions.
