NIH's New Policy on Data Management and Sharing
This new policy will impact all NIH proposals submitted on or after January 25, 2023.
Please note that the NIH’s New Data Management and Sharing Policy impacts All NIH Applications with deadlines on/after 1/25/2023.
This new policy requires NIH proposals submitted on/after 1/25/23 to include the Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMSP). We put together the attached FAQs for the university investigators and a sample template that includes some suggested language. We do not yet have any language from an approved plan. Once we have samples of plans accepted by the NIH, we will update the template and this guidance.
In addition, the CTSI, through its BERD program, will be hosting a recorded help session in December (be on the lookout for an announcement).
