French American Innovation Day 2024, organized by Tufts University, the Office for Science & Technology of the Embassy of France in the U.S., and Ventum Biotech, is designed to advance scientific collaboration between France and the United States through strengthening academic, government and industry partnerships. 

The 2024 FAID conference highlights the threat of emerging infectious diseases and the need to develop robust community-centered approaches to prevent and respond to the potential threat they pose to public health.  

This year the symposium will stimulate dialogue within the Tufts University Community, the broader academic community, and industry and government partners to:

• Summarize the current threat of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, including drug-resistant pathogens and novel diagnostic and vaccine platform

• Discuss future global needs for increased BSL 3/4 research infrastructure

• Collaboratively develop strategies and responses to emerging pathogens while fostering Franco-American academic and industry partnerships
