2023 NSF CAREER Award Panel: A Faculty Discussion and Q&A

Are you considering applying for an NSF CAREER Award this year or trying to decide when the timing is right for this important award? Please join us Friday, February 3,  2023 from 1 - 2pm in Medford (Dowling Hall 745A).

With opening remarks by Vice Provost for Research Bernard Arulanandam, Tufts CAREER awardees and reviewers will share their experiences planning and writing proposals, offer insight on how to prepare a competitive proposal, and reflect on how their award helped to advance their research and education careers. This year’s panelists will be Sam Thomas, Remco Chang, Prashant Deshlara, and Ben Wolfe.

Our panelists will address such questions as:

  • How can you determine if you are ready to apply for a CAREER?
  • What are the features of a compelling proposal?
  • What makes an engaging education plan?
  • How can you make connections for education outreach at Tufts?

Members of the OVPR’s Research Development will also be on hand to answer questions after the panel.  If you have questions, or you are interested but unable to attend, please feel free to reach out to Research Development at anna.dalby@tufts.edu or zeman.cynthia@tufts.edu.
