Our mission is to deliver operational support and expertise concerning proposal development, research collaborations, research infrastructure, and engagement across the Tufts research community.

HOW WE ASSIST

Finding Funding: Understand funding success trends and optimize submission of competitive external grant proposals.

OVPR-sponsored internal funding programs: Invest in early-stage research and scholarship through the Springboard Research & Scholarship, MUSE Arts, Humanities, and Humanistic Social Sciences, and Tufts Initiative for Substance Use and Addiction programs

Optimizing Support: Enhance support for departments, programs, and initiatives, optimizing the size and impact of research investment.

Grantsmanship Resources & Workshops: Provide resources and workshops to refine grant proposal writing skills.

Early-career faculty: Support tenure-track (or equivalent) faculty in all schools who are early in their independent research and scholarship careers, through assistance with research funding strategies, preparation for high-profile early-career awards (such as NSF CAREER), and connections with potential collaborators and resources

Limited submissions: Oversee the Tufts limited submissions program to assure compliance with agency guidelines on the number of applications allowed for specific programs and to strategically ensure that Tufts investigators have the highest potential for success

Research Communications: Prioritize goals for strategic outreach to key external audiences and establish connections across the internal Tufts’ ecosystem.

Facilitating Collaboration: Identify and pursue research collaboration opportunities with internal and external partners.

Strengthening Relationships: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and collaborators to maximize impact of translational research.

Infrastructure Support: Provide support for research infrastructure to facilitate knowledge discovery and enhance educational opportunities.

Administrative Support Services: Offer administrative support services to streamline research operations.

Postdoctoral Office Support: Provide support services for the Postdoctoral Office to enhance the postdoctoral experience.
