Sarah Cardozo Duncan has been hired as a part-time career coach for Sackler students and Postdocs. Sarah will be available for group seminars and individual student sessions. On January 14th, she will conduct a one-day workshop to introduce current Ph.D. and Postdocs to the steps and strategies for beginning a career in the biomedical or biotech industry. Attendees of this workshop will then be able to sign up for a one-on-one session with Sarah to discuss individual career goals and strategies.
Sarah, based in Boston, is a career strategist with an established global client base and runs her own consulting firm, Career Strategist. She draws upon over twenty years of recruitment and career development experience to help clients define new or existing career paths. She conducts hands-on training and workshops for postdoctoral fellows and her commitment and dedication to helping scientists, particularly postdocs, transforms their career paths earned her the 2014 Mass AWIS Mentor of Excellence Award.
Attendance at the workshop is limited to 30 students and/or postdocs and is required in order to attend an individual career session.
