Translational Research Day is Wednesday, November 7, 8:30AM-4:00PM at Tufts University School of Medicine (145 Harrison Avenue, Boston). The event will also feature addiction experts from Brandeis University, Baystate Medical Center, Tufts Medical Center, and The Jackson Laboratory; a poster session; lunch, and afternoon sessions for small group discussions.
Interested in finding translational solutions to addiction? Don’t miss the keynote address by Howard Shaffer, PhD, CAS, at Translational Research Day 2018: Addiction Research in the Lab, Clinic, and Community. Dr. Shaffer is the Morris E. Chafetz Associate Professor of Psychiatry in the Field of Behavioral Sciences at Harvard Medical School and the Director of the Division on Addiction at Cambridge Health Alliance. His research focuses on investigative and educational activities associated with addiction treatment, a syndromal approach to addiction, the public health correlates of gambling, and the epidemiology of psychiatric co-morbidity among repeat DUI offenders.
Faculty, students, staff, and partners who are conducting translational research on addiction are invited to submit an abstract for our poster session. Abstracts are due by Monday, October 22, 2018 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
