Tech Transfer and Industry Collaboration

Tech Transfer and Industry Collaboration (TTIC) is responsible for facilitating the transfer of Tufts technology for public use and benefit.

Overview

In the course of evaluating invention disclosures, TTIC gains early, first-hand knowledge of the latest developments arising from Tufts research. We are, therefore, a key resource for keeping you abreast of new Tufts inventions and providing the necessary background information to facilitate technology evaluations. If you haven’t already, we invite you to search for available technologies that may be of interest to you. Alternatively, you can simply contact us.

Having found a technology of particular interest, additional confidential information (e.g., unpublished papers, patent applications) can be provided where available upon the execution of a non-disclosure agreement. Any biological materials or prototypes associated with a given invention may also be evaluated upon the execution of a material transfer agreement. TTIC can also facilitate direct exchanges and interactions with Tufts inventors.

Licensing of Tufts technology can proceed down different paths. TTIC strives to devise exclusive and non-exclusive licenses and options that work to the mutual benefit of both Tufts and the licensee. We are also aware of the fact that a successfully negotiated agreement is not an end to itself. You will find us to be flexible in modifying and updating our licensee relationships as changing circumstances warrant.
