Tufts Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) offers required training for Faculty, staff, and students.  Many of these trainings must be renewed each year. Should you have any questions about which trainings below are applicable for you or your team, please do not hesitate to reach out to

Enroll through Tufts Learning Center

You can now easily enroll through Tufts Learning Center to complete these required trainings and refreshers in the classroom and online.

Create your account first!  You only need to do this once during your tenure at Tufts.

  • Enrollment links will not work until you have an account in Tufts Learning Center. To create your account, simply go to and log in with your Tufts username and password.
  • If you do not have a Tufts username and password, please reach out to for assistance.

Once your account is created, you can find enrollment links and information in the Tufts Learning Center catalog or in the listing below. Your course certificates and transcript will also be available in Tufts Learning Center whenever you need them.

Of note, Annual Lab Safety Training is also offered online. Please see the online course offering you prefer this option when you renew your certificate.

OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) Training

The Biosafety Office provides training for work involving biohazards. Federal law requires training for employees whose duties put them at risk for occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens (BBP). The online trainings listed on the linked Biosafety website meet the federal training requirement described in the OSHA regulation. Personnel must complete the training BEFORE they begin work that puts them at risk of BBP exposure. Please visit the Biosafety website to determine which of these trainings best fits your job duties.
