Listed below are the major searchable funding opportunity databases available to Tufts University investigators. Investigators may search for funding opportunities directly or request assistance from the Office of Research Development (ORD).

The ORD offers training and assistance with funding databases, including custom funding opportunity searches for faculty. Searches can be targeted to a general investigative field or a specific project idea. To file a funding search request, please complete the ORD request form.

Grant Databases

All U.S. government federal funding opportunities are posted on Those seeking federal funding should look here first. Please see our section on @ Tufts for guides, tips, and samples for the NIH grant application process. Opportunities are available from many U.S. government agencies, including NIH, NSF, NEH, NEA, DOD, and DOE.
