All U.S. government federal funding opportunities are posted on Grants.gov. Those seeking federal funding should look here first. Opportunities are available here from many government agencies, including NIH, NSF, NEH, DOE, NEA, and DOD. Anyone may search Grants.gov for funding opportunities. However, to actually apply for an opportunity, individuals are required to register with the offering agency to obtain a sponsor username and password. Tufts researchers wishing to register should contact (617) 636-6550 for the Health Sciences Campus or (617) 627-3417 for the Medford/Somerville Campus. The initial registration is valid throughout a researcher’s career – it is a one-time-only requirement. Tufts researchers seeking advice on which types of funding mechanisms may be appropriate for his/her research should contact the Office of Research Administration (ORA) at (617) 636-6550 for the Health Sciences Campus or (617) 627-3417 for the Medford/Somerville Campus.
Please note that the Office of Extramural Research (OER) at NIH is the best source for information on the NIH grants process, including current news, alerts, deadlines, and notices.
