This 4-week workshop will meet on Fridays February 17, February 24, March 3, and March 10th, from 9:30-11:00 am, except for the final session on March 10, which will be 3 hours (9am-noon).

Location: Medford campus, TBA

Open to all faculty interested in honing their grantsmanship using a hands-on approach. Limited to 10 participants.

This small group workshop focuses on crafting and refining the Specific Aims or equivalent objectives/executive summary page through a combination of instructor feedback and intensive peer review. You will revise and receive feedback on your drafts 3 times over the course of the workshop. If you have a developed project idea and are planning to apply for funding within the next six months, you are encouraged to register for this workshop series.

Since this is a peer review workshop, participants must attend all four sessions, and must submit an initial draft of their aims for a specific funding opportunity by February 10th.

If you are interested but cannot attend on these dates and times, please let us know what days of the week/ time of day/ time of year would be better. Your feedback will help us schedule the next workshop.

If you’d like to hear a prior participant’s view of this workshop, please contact any of the following faculty members who attended in spring or summer 2016 and have kindly agreed to answer questions: Xiaocheng Jiang (Biomedical Engineering), Beth Marfeo (Occupational Therapy), Charlie Mace (Chemistry), Jim Van Deventer (Chemical Engineering), Sandy Ayres (Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.
