The Office of Research Development supports pre-award research development for the Tufts University research community. We offer Workshops, Individual Assistance, Copyediting and English as a Second Language (ESL) Assistance, Multi-Investigator Assistance, Resources for New Faculty and Graduate Students, Funding Opportunity Search Assistance, and Proposal Preparation Tools. The Office of Research Development monitors proposal development news, develops strategies for funding outreach and education, and strives to develop strong connections with research faculty and staff and to promote research collaboration between researchers and granting organizations.

The Office of Research Development offers a variety of services related to pre-award research and proposal development to the Tufts community. Services we offer include

The Proposal Preparation Tools section of our website lists up-to-date resources to assist you with submissions to each of the major funding agencies (NIH, NSF, and others). You will find checklists and timelines as well as templates and tips for various pieces of a proposal, such as letters of support, biosketches, data management (via Tisch Library), budget justification, broader impacts, and postdoctoral mentoring plans

We also post frequent updates across various social platforms, such as Twitter, where you can find links to recent announcements, solicitation updates, agency news, and other research funding initiatives that might be related to upcoming research opportunities.
