The Bryn Mawr College Department of Chemistry seeks a Bucher-Jackson Postdoctoral Fellow in the Sciences for the academic year 2016-2017, beginning on August 1, 2016 and renewable for a second year. The Ph.D. degree is required by the start date.

This is a combined teaching and research fellowship in the area of biological chemistry. Strong proficiency in standard biochemical techniques, including molecular cloning and protein expression and purification, is highly desirable. Although not required, the ideal candidate will also have experience in protein crystallography. The teaching responsibilities will also be in the area of biochemistry, with the expectation that the fellow will teach one course per semester. The specific courses will depend on the successful applicant’s area of expertise.
