Posted: June 1, 2015
The USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University (HNRCA) investigators conduct advanced studies on nutrition and aging. Their research focuses on determining the optimal nutrient profile necessary to promote well-being for older adults and prevent the major chronic conditions of aging. Three Postdoctoral Scholar positions are available for September 1, 2015in the HNRCA Nutritional Epidemiology Program, located in Boston, MA. These positions will work closely with investigators in the Nutritional Epidemiology Program to support ongoing funded research on one of three projects examining the following aims:
the potential role of higher protein intakes in maintaining physiologic function and physical performance in older ages,
the role whole-grains and cardiometabolic health in populations-based studies, or
the health benefits of increased dairy consumption in Americans.
The duties and responsibilities involve the execution of ongoing externally-funded studies including, but not limited to, the design, development and implementation of statistical analyses to address pre-defined research questions and drafting of reports and papers for presentation and publication; and assistance in the development of new grant proposals. Opportunities to expand the scope of this work are also available.
