The appointment will be at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of the Practice and is primarily a teaching position in our undergraduate foundational courses Molecules and Cells, Cell Biology, Biological Chemistry and Genetics/Genomics. We are especially interested in individuals whose research interests and technical skills can be leveraged into research lab courses for undergraduates. A Ph.D., post-doctoral research experience and several years of college teaching experience are required.

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to undergraduate teaching as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field and have an interest in expanding the diversity of our biology graduates. The incumbent will have a role in our Gateway Scholars Program for STEM, an instructional support program in biology and chemistry for first generation and under-represented minorities. The teaching load is 3/2 and the successful candidate will also be expected to participate in academic advising and departmental and college service. This appointment will begin on July 1, 2016.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching interests and arrange to have three letters from professional referees submitted online via Interfolio at: apply.interfolio.com/33840.

Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
