Any person that is to work with animals and/or enter animal facilities needs to be listed on an approved protocol before the work can begin. It is considered an issue of non-compliance if a person works with animals and is not listed, and has not completed the necessary personnel requirements. Addition of personnel to an active protocol can be done administratively through the use of a Supplement P. Email the completed form to the IACUC-office@tufts.edu. Please note that Supplement Ps should be submitted by the investigator or by an administrator on the investigator’s behalf.

Upon Approval of the Supplement P, new personnel will be emailed with instructions for how to complete the IACUC Personnel Requirements. The Principal Investigator will receive a notification of Approval and the status of the personnel requirements for each of the added personnel.

To remove inactive personnel from a protocol, send an email with the names of people to be removed.
