Each year, we offer grant writing workshops and seminars open to Tufts faculty, researchers, students, and staff. Some are targeted at specific populations (e.g., graduate students or postdoctoral fellows), while others are open to the entire Tufts community. The following describes our most frequently offered programs. For dates, times, locations, and other information for upcoming workshops and seminars, contact us.
This introductory workshop can help the researcher identify helpful search keywords for particular funding databases and perform advanced searches for funding opportunities narrowed for eligibility and other factors.
An introduction to the art of writing a grant narrative, this workshop provides an overview of how to: 1) Match a funding agency’s mission to your research agenda; 2) Write strong and clear research aims; and 3) Put together a competitive grant package in the design of your research narrative
This seminar offers tips and tricks to write clear, concise, and coherent text that communicates academic research in the limited space and formatting available in grant applications.
We also offer customized grant writing workshops focusing on any of the above or other topics as requested.
If you are interested in scheduling a workshop for your department or group, please contact our office at least three months in advance. While we cannot promise availability of a workshop at a specific time or campus location, there are often spaces available in targeted departmental grant writing workshops.
